About Josh Brown

Hey, hey, hey! My name’s Josh Brown, I’m 21 years old and I play music. I have been singing and writing since I was 15, writing about teenage heart aches and being a loser, so “high school” in a nut shell. My first show I was supposed to be the guitarist until the lead singer got sick that morning, and the other guitarist didn’t know the only song I could sing (Knocking on heaven’s Door) so I was left up there by myself, Thanks Brandon. I was good enough though I was asked to play again …. By myself, Take that Griffin Head (my band). I got to play seven songs and rocked them all, it was the day I realized what I wanted to do. I went to Canadian Idol where I was told that a Roger’s ring tone could keep key better than I could …. Well not really but I didn’t win so I was depressed pretty hard, but who cares! That was the year that my Ottawa Senators went to the Stanley Cup final so I was one happy panda.

Loving the great band “Rise Against”, I quickly learned to expand my writing and take pride in every single word I put to paper. When I was 18, I put out a CD, “On My Own” (I swear I beat Hedley to it). The CD is basically everything I that I once felt, and sometimes still do, it matured me with every song I recorded and without the CD, I know I wouldn’t be the same person I am today. I had a CD release party that was filled with friends and family, it was a big bash and will never forget that night. Next thing I knew I was on itunes! Sounds a lot more exciting than it is, but never the less, my music was out there and people got to hear me, and getting heard is the best feeling you can ever feel.

As soon as the partying was over I had to go to college …. To party some more. I took TV Broadcasting and liked it … some days, but ultimately I was there for music, ‘cause that’s where I joined a punk band …. Awwwwe yeaaaahhh! We rocked out at the College bar one night and my God, I loved every second of it. After that one show we really just went our separate ways, it sucked, but not everything last forever ….. “That’s what she said”!

I am now engaged (hard to believe I know) to a beautiful women, who can’t get enough of me …. And I think she thinks I’m cute ….. but don’t tell anyone. I am still writing music and, if given the chance, a second CD will most definitely come, I have the fans that want to hear it and a desk full of songs that need to be on it. I love my family, and friends who have come first my whole life and that I take pride in. I owe you guys more and that’s why I’m doing a website, so you guys have a chance to see what I’m doing, buy my first CD and follow me through a journey that could very well lead to another.
